
Michael Parks
Michael Parks (he/they) is a junior in the English Education (7-12) program at Buffalo State, on track to graduate in Fall 2025. As a future teacher, his goal is to create an inquiry-based classroom that reflects his students' identities while incorporating multimodality and social justice. Outside of academics, Michael works as a host and busser at a local restaurant and enjoys watching movies, listening to music, reading, and spending time with his family, friends, and cats.

Madison Lloyd
Madison will receive her B.S. in Secondary English Education (7-12) in the Spring of 2026. She has a deep-rooted passion for writing and literature. Madison is eager to share her passion for English with students across Buffalo. In addition to her academic pursuits, Madison works as a Substitute Teacher at South Buffalo Charter School. She also works in Buffalo State’s Writing Center as a Writing Tutor. She spends her free time with her friends and her dog Charlie, making art, and writing poetry.

Linda Coleman
Linda Coleman is in her senior year of the English Education program. Recently, she has had the opportunity to complete an internship at the Center for Teaching and Learning in Edgecomb, Maine. This has heightened her interest in the workshop model of teaching reading and writing as well as student-centered and inquiry-based learning. She is currently planning on pursuing her master’s degree in special education and TESOL certification. In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, and drawing.

Donia Jebara
Donia is an English Education major who subs at Franklin Elementary. In her free time, she enjoys reading, running, writing, and gymnastics.

Aaliyah Mohammed
Aaliyah Mohammed is in her first semester of the program. She truly loves it so far and says it feels like being part of one big, happy family! Outside of her academic life, her favorite hobbies include reading , writing, and playing soccer. She looks forward to connecting more with everyone in the program!
